Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus Mega Shark Versus Giant Octopus is a disaster film by The Asylum, released direct-to-DVD on May 19, 2009.
Featuring veteran actor Lorenzo Lamas and singer/songwriter Deborah Gibson, the film was originally titled Mega Shark Versus Giant Octopus 3D, but “3D” was stricken from the title when the studio failed to acquire adequate funding for 3-D film.
Plot
Off the coast of Alaska, oceanographer Emma McNeil (Deborah Gibson) is aboard a submarine studying whales when, without warning, a sonic device dropped from a military helicopter awakens a Megalodon (a gigantic shark) and a Giant Octopus from their 10-million-year slumber, whereupon both creatures start to wreak havoc.
Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus is directed by Jack Perez (as Ace Hannah).
It stars Lorenzo Lamas, Deborah Gibson, Sean Lawlor and Stephen Blackehart.
