The 2009 CONCACAF Gold Cup will be the tenth edition of the Gold Cup competition, the association football championship of North America, Central America and the Caribbean (CONCACAF). It will be contested from July 3 to July 26, 2009 in the United States.

This competition will be the fourth tournament without guests from other confederations.

Participating Nations:

North American zone qualified automatically:

* United States (host, 10th Gold Cup appearance)
* Mexico (10th Gold Cup appearance)
* Canada (9th Gold Cup appearance)

Caribbean zone qualified through the Caribbean Championship 2008:

* Winners: Jamaica (7th Gold Cup appearance)
* Runners-up: Grenada (1st Gold Cup appearance)
* 3rd place: Guadeloupe (2nd Gold Cup appearance)
* 3rd place in Group I: Haiti (4th Gold Cup appearance)

Central American zone qualified through the UNCAF Nations Cup 2009:

* Winners: Panama (4th Gold Cup appearance)
* Runners-up: Costa Rica (9th Gold Cup appearance)
* 3rd place: Honduras (9th Gold Cup appearance)
* 4th place: El Salvador (6th Gold Cup appearance)
* 5th place: Nicaragua (1st Gold Cup appearance)

Note 1: Cuba finished fourth at the Caribbean Championship, but withdrew from the Gold Cup due to issues related to player development and the ability to field a competitive team.

Haiti and Trinidad and Tobago, 3rd place in Group I and Group J, respectively, as the two highest finishing teams in the Caribbean Championship not already qualified for the Gold Cup, were placed in a draw by the CFU to determine who would replace Cuba, and Haiti won the draw.
