In a wacky Rhode Island town, a dysfunctional family strive to cope with everyday life as they are thrown from one crazy scenario to another.

Family Guy is an animated American television sitcom created by Seth MacFarlane that airs on Fox and regularly on other television networks in syndication. The show centers on a semi-dysfunctional family that lives in the fictional town of Quahog, Rhode Island. The show uses frequent “cutaway gags”, jokes in the form of tangential vignettes.

Family Guy was cancelled once in 2000 and again in 2002, but strong DVD sales and the large viewership of reruns on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim convinced Fox to resume the show in 2005. It is the first cancelled show to be resurrected based on DVD sales, and the only one to be resurrected twice on that basis.

Family Guy is a show originally created in 1999 after the Larry shorts (its predecessor) caught the attention of the Fox Broadcasting Company during the 1999 Super Bowl commercial. Its cancellation was announced, but then a shift in power at Fox and outcry from the fans led to a reversal of that decision and the making of a third season after which it was cancelled again.

Reruns on Adult Swim drove interest in the show up, and the DVD releases did quite well, selling over 2.2 million copies in one year, which renewed network interest. Family Guy returned to production in 2004, making three more seasons (for a total of six) and a straight-to-DVD movie, Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story.

The show celebrated its official 100th episode during its sixth season in autumn of 2007, resulting in the show’s syndication. Season 7 began airing Sunday, September 28, 2008. The show is contracted to continue producing episodes until 2012.

On the highly anticipated season five premiere, five years have passed since Katherine shot her ex-husband as Susan, Lynette, Bree and Gabrielle stood together in solidarity to protect her.

The fifth season of Desperate Housewives, began airing September 28, 2008 on ABC. The fifth season is placed five years in the future, following the events of the season four finale.





Season 5 Pilot

The series was renewed for a fifth season. Season 5 began airing on September 28, 2008. As shown in the second half of the two-hour season four finale, the show jumps ahead five years into the future, to the year 2013. The housewives still gather to play their weekly poker game, with Katherine Mayfair joining them. Susan is seen kissing a mystery man (Gale Harold); Gaby is shown caring for two children; Lynette’s children have grown into juvenile delinquents; Bree is now a successful cookbook author, and her son Andrew is her assistant; and Katherine is elated to hear that Dylan has just gotten engaged, but there is no sign of Adam.

Cherry has stated that flashbacks will be used infrequently to advance or illustrate a current plotline. Nicollette Sheridan, who plays Edie, has been confirmed to return next season.Neal McDonough, who will play Edie’s husband, is joining the cast as a series regular. Gale Harold will recur as Jackson, the man kissing Susan in the season four finale. James Denton, who plays Mike Delfino, told People magazine that he will definitely be returning in season five, although “Mike and Susan have definitely split up”. Other cast additions for season five include Max and Charles Carver, who will play Preston and Porter Scavo respectively, Joshua Moore who will play Parker, and Kendall Applegate who will play Penny.

Jane’s role in cracking a series of tough high-profile cases is greatly valued by his fellow agents. However, no-nonsense Senior Agent Teresa Lisbon openly resists having Jane in her unit and alternates between reluctantly acknowledging Jane’s usefulness and blasting him for his theatrics, narcissism and dangerous lack of boundaries. Lisbon’s team includes agents Kimball Cho, Wayne Rigsby and rookie member Grace Van Pelt, who all think Jane’s a loose cannon but admire his charm and knack for clearing cases.

Lipstick Jungle is an American TV comedy-drama. It was created by DeAnn Heline and Eileen Heisler for NBC Universal Television Studio. On February 24, 2008, NBC ordered six additional scripts of Lipstick Jungle.

On April 2, 2008 NBC renewed Lipstick Jungle for a second season after they announced their Fall 2008 lineup. The show will air its second season at 10:00PM Eastern/9:00PM Central on Wednesdays. The second season premiered on September 24, 2008.

The A-Team is an American action adventure television series about a fictional group of ex-United States Army Special Forces who work as soldiers of fortune while being on the run from the military for a “crime they didn’t commit”.
